3D Drilling LTD site investigation services was Established in January 2015. We are based in the South East of England. Between the 2 of us we have over 15 years experience in geology and site investigation. We mostly gained this at a well-established engineering and site investigation company. It has given us well-rounded training and experience in this industry.

We undertake most aspects of site investigation work, which include soil sampling and logging, gas and water well installation and monitoring, foundation and trail pits and soakage testing. We also do CBR and Plate Bearing testing to list a few.

Our Services

Windowless Sampling

Terrier rigs are small enough to get to harder to access places that bigger rigs cannot. Depths of up to 10m with SPTs

Plate bearing & Plate CBR

To determine whether the ground has sufficient bearing capacity to support structures or temporary cranes or piling rigs.

Dynamic probing

DPSH test. A 63.5kg weight is dropped 750mm, the blows per 100mm are recorded at depths of up to 30m

Hand Held Window Sampling

Options of an electric or hydraulic breaker. We would use this system inside or small access

Hand Excavations

Hand excavation of pits are used to expose foundations to buildings and the location of utilities.

Opening up works

This is where we would expose joists, columns, beams, wall/floor thicknesses and steel mesh in concrete.

Diamond Drilling

Hole diameters 0.025m to 0.30m up to 1m depth. On a variation of angles

Borehole and BRE365 Soakages

2500lt bowser of water is used to measure the soakage rate
